⭐️Trying watercolors for the first time and setting up a new sketchbook: Diaries of an Artist ⭐️

Join me trying water color for the first time in 6+ years. In this video I tried the meeden watercolor pallet, artify fine detail brushes, and speed ball water color sketchbook. SPOILER ALERT I truly love all of them SO MUCH. This has completely changed my mind on watercolors. I’ve sworn them off for so long but they may be my number one art medium now which is a plot twist I DIDNT EXPECT at all.

Going into I thought I wouldn’t be able to build up color and it would only create light washes of color but through doing the test swatches I quickly found out that wasn’t true at all. I think this is the most versatile medium that I’ve used up to the point. You can get it extremely runny or opaque. I was also worried that I wouldn’t be able to layer without activating the paint but after some practice I was able to figure out how to avoid that too. I’m just trying to figure out why no one told me how extraordinary fun watercolor is.
