Today, I stood in front of a room full of smart people and gave a research presentation... and I felt like a complete idiot the entire time. Not because I didn’t know the material — but because I felt exposed. I wasn’t just sharing ideas. I was sharing me.
I grew up feeling like I didn’t belong — special ed as a kid, working-class background, always on the outside looking in. And the way I rebelled? I got more and more educated. But no matter how far I go, I still feel like I’m not supposed to be here.
This video is a love letter to anyone who feels like a fraud. To anyone who gives the talk, applies to the job, takes the leap — and immediately wants to run and hide. I get it. I live it. And I want you to see that even people who look like they have it all together… often feel like they’re falling apart.
