Perhentian Islands, one of the top destinations in the world with the cleanest waters in Malaysia.

In this video, we are taking you to Perhentian Islands aka Pulau Perhentian in Malay. The Perhentian Islands are islands in Besut District, Terengganu, Malaysia. The two main islands are Perhentian Besar (Large Island) and Perhentian Kecil (Small Island). The small, uninhabited islands of Susu Dara, Serengeh and Rawa lie off Kecil.

Perhentian kecil is the most frequented one while perhentian besar is mostly for rich families.

The main and most known beach of Perhentian Islands Malaysia is long beach, in this beach you can meet people from all around the world, and the nightlife is lit.

Perhentian Islands located 21 km off coast of Terengganu, Peninsular Malaysia, attracts thousands of tourists every year. Rooms are limited especially on public holidays or peak season in June, July and August. Electricity is also scarce, not all hotels provide electricity 24/7.

If you are coming from Kuala Lumpur, you can take a bus from TBS which cost around RM50 until Kuala Besut. Once you reach Kuala Besut, you can walk to Besut Jetty, it will take you around 15 minutes.

The Jetty is RM35 per head with a journey of 45 minutes to reach Perhentian Island.

Once you are in the islands, you can move around either by boats, or walking through the forest.

In Perhentian Islands, there is no shortage of activities, you can kayak, snorkel, hike, dive and party.

Perhantian islands best beaches are long beach, coral bay beach, turtle beach...there are other beaches worth exploring too. Once you reach perhentian kecil, you have more options. In the other hand in Perhentian Besar, they do have some gorgeous beaches too. So the best is to explore both islands in Perhentian.
