Sturgis Buffalo Chip: The Heartbeat of the Rally
Known as The Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling and The Best Party Anywhere, the Sturgis Buffalo Chip is the epicenter of the rally’s music and motorcycle culture. Established in 1981, this biker-built campground spans 600 acres and draws riders from all 50 states and over 20 countries. Here’s what you can expect in 2025:
• Concerts That Rock the Black Hills: Kick off the rally on August 1 with ZZ Top and STIL RUNNIN (winners of the 2025 Sturgis Battle of the Bands) at the Wolfman Jack Stage. Other headliners include Five Finger Death Punch (Aug 4), Nickelback (Aug 6), and Marilyn Manson (Aug 7), delivering a mix of classic rock, heavy metal, and more. With 151 Top 10 singles and 84 million monthly Spotify listeners across the lineup, the Chip’s concerts are a must-see! 🎤
• Daredevil Days: On August 6-7, experience Daredevil Days, featuring insane stunts like the Harley-Davidson Jump over the Budweiser Bridge, plus Ultra4 USA off-road racing and Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) on August 2. 🏎️🥊
• Unique Events: Don’t miss the 17th Annual Motorcycles As Art Exhibit (Aug 2-8), curated by Kevin Dunworth and Savannah Rose, showcasing custom bikes and art. Join the Heroes Honor Ride on August 3 from Belle Fourche to the Chip, supporting veterans and first responders. 🖼️🇺🇸
• Creator Hangout: On August 2 from 4-6 PM at Camp Zero, meet YouTubers, influencers, and motorcycle content creators for games and shenanigans hosted by Chicken Rick and Chicken Fried Choppers.
The Big Engine Bar at the Crossroads is a popular spot to come chill and get your bike washed at the Bikini Bike wash. They also have daily bike shows and stunt riders putting on show with Harleys and motocross bikes getting huge air on a massive Jump.
