In this video we discuss Event Systems. Different objects often need to alert each other when game events occur; they can do this by accessing each other in code, but this can scale horribly and result in messy, disorganised objects. An event system would allow objects to create events which are sent off to an event manager. The manager then checks if there are any "listeners" registered for that event, and if there is, it performs the action the listener needs to take when triggered. We discuss these concepts in this video; in the next video, we jump in and program it.
