Trees in the sky - a vertical forest in Milan: Stefano BOERI at TEDxTirana

To the twentieth century city, characterized of its lack of quality and identity, Stefano Boeri introduces "Bosco Verticale" (Vertical Forest), an experiment in urbanization of the twenty-first century or otherwise put, an injection of biodiversity. Boeri states that an acupuncture of the Vertical Forests in all the metropolises in the world could improve the sustainability and biodiversity of the cities we live in.
Stefano Boeri is a Milan-based architect, author of several books and founder of "multiplicity", international research network dedicated to the study of contemporary urban transformations. He is a Professor of Urban Design in Milan and has taught as a visiting professor at several other Universities. Among others, Boeri has been part of the Architecture Advisory Board in charge of developing the guidelines for the urban transformations to be implemented within the frame of the 2015 Milan Architecture Expo.
