Couldn’t sleep last night.
Pain from my fingers to my shoulder—deep, aching, stiff.
The rain didn’t help. Maybe I wrote too much.
When it gets like that, it’s not just physical.
Thoughts race. Emotions come in. It’s hard to settle.
Around midnight, I sat on the sofa with my blanket and pillow.
I remembered what my psychologist once taught me:
EFT tapping therapy.
It’s a gentle technique that uses acupressure points and calming phrases
to help release stress, pain, and emotional overwhelm.
I followed a video and tapped along.
Not to fix everything—just to stay present.
I filmed myself doing it.
Not to perform, but to remind myself: I didn’t give up.
This is what trying looks like.
Even when it hurts, I’m still showing up for myself.
