Spider-Man Needs To "Grow Up"

Spider-Man has been a staple character at Marvel Comics since the company's renaissance in the 1960s. Peter Parker has become one of the iconic superheroes known the world over. Most could recite his origin (bitten by a radioactive spider) or the mantra "with great power comes great responsibility." However, over time there has come to be a push and pull with the classic wall crawler. While Peter at one point was married to Mary Jane, and in some cannons had children with her, all of that was aggressively retconned in 2007. Since then some feel the character has moved backwards, and if response to Spider-man Across The Spiderverse indicates anything it's than fans like Spider-Dad. So the question is, is it time for Peter to grow up? Pass the mantle to Miles? Retire? We discuss here on Casually Comics!
