2025 Lexus GX review - New GX550 - Prado based Luxury off road 7 seater SUV tested!

It might be based on the new Land Cruiser 250 Series Toyota Prado, but the Lexus GX is a very different machine.

It comes with a punchy 3.4-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine, for one. No diesel here. And it has a 10-speed auto and all-wheel drive with low-range transfer case.

But while it might have hardcore off-road credentials, this review is about living with the Lexus GX -- what it's like around town, some handy features that make it shopping centre friendly, and also a space test -- it is a 3 row large SUV after all.

So tell me if you think it's worth $116,000 -- for the BASE MODEL -- in the comments, and let me know if you want an off-road test in the Overtrail. It might take a few months, but if there's demand, I'll do it.
