A Tiny Gold Speck Leads to a Huge Discovery — 13kg Quartz Gold Ore!

In this adventure, we explored a wild mountain stream flowing from an ancient volcano, searching for natural gold deposits.
Using a metal detector and dowsing rods, we picked up a strong signal in a large sandy patch in the middle of the stream. The area was full of quartz veins mixed with ironstone. As we followed the quartz line, we found a massive quartz boulder with a visible speck of gold on the surface!
We dug deeper beneath the boulder and uncovered a heavy quartz–ironstone rock with gold both inside and outside — weighing about 13 kg in total.
The surroundings were completely wild, with dense forest, rugged mountains, and a fast-flowing river — the perfect place for real gold prospecting.
