Welcome to Episode 1 of our 2025–2026 Superconducting Electronics Season, part of the USC Discover Expedition Project.

In this talk, Dr. George Michelogiannakis, Staff Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), introduces the concepts of temporal and pulse-train computing and how they can enable reliable and energy-efficient next-generation computing systems.

Dr. Michelogiannakis is a staff scientist at LBNL in Berkeley, CA. His research explores computer architectures and unconventional computing methods beyond Moore’s Law, with applications in superconducting electronics, temporal computing, and energy-efficient systems.
