Filmed 8th May 2022 at a Yorkshire Tykes Meeting
After ringing at North Street, we rang at York Minster, which has an absolutely stunning ring of 12 (including a 6b) cast by John Taylor & Co in 1925, and then the extra treble in 1978. The bells go very well and the sound and boom of the tenor is marvellous. The 12 are hung in one tower whereas Great Peter (216-2-22 in Eb) and the other six quarter bells are hung in the other tower. I thoroughly enjoyed my ring here and it is one tower I will not forget soon!
