The colors I use are used in this painting listed here:
Cadium Red, Alizarine Crimson (a small amount, not necessary), Yellow Oxide, Mars Black, Titanium White, Cool Yellow, Cerulean blue, Ultramarine Blue, and Quinacridone Magenta
My philosophy is to use what you have. If you have a similar color make it work!
