Sean Jones is an acclaimed jazz trumpeter, composer, and educator whose artistry bridges tradition and innovation. A former lead trumpeter of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra under Wynton Marsalis, he has released multiple recordings as a bandleader, earning recognition for his soulful sound and compositional depth. Jones has shared the stage with jazz luminaries including Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and Illinois Jacquet. Dedicated to the next generation of musicians, he is also a highly respected educator, serving as Chair of Jazz Studies at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.
