Bowser's Castle is perhaps the hardest 150cc course in Mario Kart 64. You need both a clean race and a lot of luck with the items which drop. If any other driver gets the lead and they stay there for more than a corner or two, that’s pretty much the race over - so try and be defensive with your items for anyone who creeps up behind you.

That said, I got lucky here, where I was behind on much of the last lap, and a combination of good items and what seems to be a mistake by the racer ahead in the final laps seeing me steal the win. Either way - a lot of practice and good fortune can see you win this. Good luck!
