A tribute to the pre-code films of Nancy Carroll (November 19, 1903 - August 6, 1965). She started her career in silent films and made the transition to sound with ease; she had a good speaking voice and could sing and dance; Paramount's musical version of Clara Bow. She retired from films in 1938, focusing on the stage, and occasionally, television. Her daughter, Patricia Kirkland (July 18, 1925 - August 14, 2000) was an actress and casting director. I tried to include as many of Nancy's films as I could find; some prints are in better shape than others, and some have received restoration for DVD and Blu-ray. She could play comedy and drama, and of course, was also well-suited to musicals. Songs are "You're My Past, Present, And Future" performed by Ruth Etting, and "Let's Make Up" by Don Bestor and his orchestra with vocals by Florence Case, both of which were recorded in 1933.
