Professor P plays the arrangement for accordion quintet, by Paul De Bra, of movements 1, 2 and 5 of the Holberg Suite by Edvard Grieg. (These are Prelude, Sarabande and Rigaudon).
The arrangement is written for quintet or sextet. When there is a sixth player it is easier to have some voice stand out, and register changes or large jumps become easier.
Generally this is quite a difficult piece (even with 6 players), but it certainly is one of Grieg’s best masterpieces.
