Riding the Flåmsbana, one of the World's Most Beautiful Train Journeys in Norway (Flåm Railway)

Sharing this experience of taking Flåm Railway's Flåmsbana from Flåm, Norway to Myrdal, Norway. The trip is almost an hour each way with a short stop at Myrdal before coming back. The total trip was a little over 2 hours.
Train tickets get sold out quickly, especially if there's a cruise line docked. It's highly recommended tickets are purchased in advance. We bought our tickets from Norway's Best website. It cost 1360 NOK (about $128 USD) for 2 adult tickets.
Flåm was the last port of our Holland America Vikings Saga cruise on the Rotterdam. It was truly a wonderful place to visit. This is only one of the many things to do in Flåm, but definitely worth your time! If you schedule your train ride early in the morning, like 9:30am, you'll have lots of time to do other tours. You can also kayak, picnic or swim by the beach in Flåm.
We visited this port in August 2023, so it was summer time and the weather was in the 70s Fahrenheit, definitely no snow this time of year!
