This past Thursday I was lucky enough to meet up with Mr. Vincent Cortese on my trip to Las Vegas. He was a friend and student of Roy Smeck's and owns the uke that Roy used in the 1926 Vitaphone talking picture His Pastimes. It was such a pleasure to play this uke. Every time you see me smile in the video it's because I keep reminding myself "Holy Smokes! I'm holding Roy's uke!!!!" haha
