Sailing through the Netherlands and SAIL AMSTERDAM 2025

Returning from adventures in the Baltic Sea, I make a detour through the Netherlands and experience sailing on the reclaimed waters of the Zuiderzee. After a windy sail acrossed the Waddenzee I enter the Ijsselmeer via the huge Afsluitdyke. Making tracks to the south I drop anchor in Enkhuizen Harbour and the then the traditional town of Volendam. I visit Amsterdam during SAIL 2025 maritime festival and then sail through into the IJ Harbour via the Oranjesluice where I transit the Nordzeekanal with many boats taking part in the festival.
