The adventure doesn’t end here, there are eight video lessons to discover, taking us up to 8,000 metres below sea level and back again! You will be able to imagine what it is like to be a deep sea explorer; encountering many rare and unique sea creatures, and learning about the layers of the ocean that they inhabit.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE RESOURCE PACK?
A Virtual Adventure is a different approach to a traditional learning project. By following a story-based format, it takes you and your children on an exciting, interactive journey through the world’s oceans. Along the way, you will learn about the layers of the ocean and make a diorama (3D model), explore the ocean depths and meet a wide range of marine creatures - if you can find them that is!

1. The Virtual Ocean Adventure Main Story PowerPoint is designed to be viewed on an electronic device, with sound enabled to hear the sound effects. It is accompanied by a comprehensive range of complementary video lessons that cover the learning topics encountered in the story. The links to these videos are included both in the Virtual Ocean Adventure Main Story PowerPoint and in the Virtual Ocean Adventure Field Guide.

2. Also included is our online Virtual Ocean Adventure Field Guide. The Field Guide is where you will find all our suggestions for how you can extend your child’s learning during this project.

3. In the download pack you will also find your Progress Tracker, along with a collection of submersibles and sea creatures that you will need to prepare before you start. These are what you’ll use to track your journey down through the layers of the ocean.

4. While you move through the Virtual Ocean Adventure Main Story PowerPoint you will be looking for some elusive whales. Read through the Cuvier’s Beaked Whales Fact File to find out more about them.
