Black Mesa: Blue Shift - Focal Point - Flight to the Relay/Manta Sequence (Gameplay Teaser)

Barney Calhoun traverses the floating islands of Xen to reach the Focal Point Relay, a device that is essential for him and his friends to escape Black Mesa. To reach his target destination, he hitches a ride on a Manta, in one of the most beautiful and well-choreographed encounters in the game.

A showcase of one of my favourite moments from this chapter. I elected to also include the trek up to the Manta sequence, so that the subsequent flight around the whole island has a bigger payoff as the Manta flies by all the areas Barney passed on his way to the departure point.

Notes:
The Manta sequence is spread across two maps. I chose to do a "Fade to white" transition at the load point to avoid a jarring skip of a few frames forward; plus I think it melds well with Barney going through the waterfall
Shooting RPGs at the Sentry Cannons that fire upon the Manta does nothing. I just did it as I felt Barney would have tried that in a desperate bid to strike back
Full playthrough coming soon - players of this chapter know how massive it is. Recording gameplay of this will take a while. Until then, I wanted to get at least something up to make the wait a bit easier
