Sacrificing Cheng's own child – The Orphan of Zhao Highlight | 舞剧《赵氏孤儿》––《献孤》

Tu Angu threatens Cheng Ying with the lives of all infants in the city if the orphan of Zhao is not killed. Left with no choice, Cheng Ying lifts the infant up high but then slowly brings back into his arms and gently rocks it. He’s desperate and hesitates.

The irritated Tu snatches the baby from him and throws it with force onto the ground. All the infants in the city are saved, but Cheng losses his own child.

屠岸贾以全城婴儿的性命要挟程婴摔死赵孤。程婴将婴孩高高举起，又缓缓抱入怀中轻轻摇哄。看着程婴久久下不了手，屠岸贾一把夺过婴孩，重重摔在地上。全城婴儿得救了，但程婴却永远失去了自己的孩子。
