DHQ Hospital Chakwal was established as BHU in 1884, upgraded as THQ in 1954, further upgraded as 125 bedded DHQ Hospital in 1986, finally upgraded as 205 bedded Hospital in 2015, total area of hosptial is 1992 marlas, 352 covered 644 uncovered 97.8 residential area 898.2 non residential area. Emergency services are provided round a clock to almost 700 to 750 patients while OPD services are provided in morning and evening shifts to almost 2000 to 2500 patients daily. Hospital is providing treatment to patients with specialized medical and nursing staff and medical equipment. Revamping started in 2016 which covered Medical Ward, Surgical Ward, Eye Ward, Peads & Nursery Ward, Gynae and Operation Theater, Dialysis Unit, Dental Unit, X-Ray, CT-Scan/ Ultrasound Burn Unit, ICU, CCU. Admin Block, Mortuary and Laboratory.
