Gateway Classic Cars is happy to have this fully restored 1970 Plymouth GTX for sale here in our Detroit Showroom. The Plymouth GTX was introduced in 1967 as Plymouth's big-inch performance model for the muscle car market. Based on a two-door Belvedere hardtop and convertible, the "new" GTX came equipped with simulated hood scoops, a special grille and tail panel, and "pit stop" chrome gas cap. A quintessential muscle car, the Plymouth GTX continues to impress collectors with its speed, power, and cubic inches.
This 1970 GTX has went under a full rotisserie restoration completed only a year ago and retains the original numbers matching 440 cubic inch, 6-pack V8 that pushes out 375 horsepower and has been recently rebuilt during the full restoration. Backing up the big block powerhouse is the numbers matching Torque Flight automatic transmission which shifts nice and smooth through all 3 speeds.
The exterior of this GTX looks amazing, the bright red high gloss finish shines like a mirror thanks to the recent professional detail and the black vinyl top that is in perfect condition give this GTX a great classic style. With subtle white decals running up and down the length of the car, this GTX give it that nice classic look that everyone knows and loves. The owner of this car claims this GTX to be all original body panels, no bondo has ever been used on this prime example of one of the best Mopars ever made.
