A convicted killer will be living in Austin with the man who based the Hollywood film "Bernie" on his life. In 1999, a jury convicted Bernie Tiede in the shooting death of 81-year-old Marjorie Nugent. Tiede was a former mortician in Carthage, Texas. He befriended Nugent, a rich widow, before their relationship turned toxic.
