The success of implementing all UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 relies on creating people-driven smart sustainable cities and communities for long-term societal trust and acceptance. This will require novel immersive community participation, collaborative governance, visualized interactive decision support, and high-quality place-making. This presentation will show how NTNU cooperates with frontrunners of community participation and civil society, ICT and visualisation, architecture, planning and facility management, municipalities and research, to enable large-scale collaborative innovation to improve the way cities work and are governed, with examples of local and international projects.
Annemie Wyckmans is professor and leads NTNU Smart Sustainable Cities at NTNU Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Architecture and Design.
Her main goal is to promote smart sustainable cities, through research, innovation and education.
