Falling Away From Sin

Load the armor
Raise the shield
This is the battlefield within
But by the blood of christ I win

Welcome to the war zone inside my chest
Where the darkness marches and never rests
Every thought is a bullet every lie is a trap
Demons lurking in the smoke trying to pull me back

Sin dug trenches tried to bury me deep
But the shepherd found me when I fell asleep
Woke me up now my spirits armed
New creation in christ with a soul transformed

Still the battle rages pulling at my skin
But the victory is written where the story begins
I hear the war cry feel the fire within
But Ill never fall back Im falling away from sin

This battlefields inside of me
But christ has set the captive free
The chains are shattered the blood has spoken
The walls are ruined the strongholds broken

I stand my ground when the dark rushes in
Im falling away

Every days another strike from the enemy lines
Trying to detonate my faith with his twisted designs
But I reload truth when my hope runs thin
I got scripture like a rifle let the battle begin

No retreat no fear no devilish bluff
Cause my commander walked the cross and that was enough
Hell trembles at the sound of his name
Im covered in the blood Im immune to the flame

War inside but I wont give in
New life and the fight is within
Chains broke now the devil cant win

By the blood I rise again

Flashes of light in the dark of my soul
Bombs of temptation try to take control
But the armor of god keeps my spirit intact
Im a soldier of christ never turning back

When the shadows swarm I dont break or bend
Cause the lamb already conquered what I face within
If sin is a battle christ is the end
Hes my fortress my banner my warrior friend
