In memory of Britt Allcroft (1943- 2024)
As a tribute to the recently deceased creator of TV's "Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends," I thought today would be a good time to look back on some of the fun Thomas VHS releases from the 90s and 00s.
For this video, let's take a deep dive into a few Thomas videotapes that never made the transition to DVD or beyond. While the exact reasoning for some of these releases living and dying on VHS may never be known, there are a few we can certainly discuss and postulate about!
We start off by covering the much-neglected Volumes 3-5: Tenders & Turntables, Thomas Breaks the Rules, and Better Late Than Never. Then we jump ahead a few years to see the first compilation video Thomas' Christmas Party. Lastly, we take a look at George Carlin's (proper) farewell video Thomas Meets the Queen. So many interesting episodes there- not sure why it didn't make it to DVD and beyond.
