Hoje, esse sonho criou raízes, se multiplicou e se tornou coletivo. Cresceu como árvore e está transformando a paisagem e a vida em toda a bacia do Rio Doce. Queremos ir além: transformar a região mais degradada do Brasil na mais biodiversa. Esse é o legado que seguimos cultivando — com você, lado a lado. Porque é tempo de semear o futuro.

In Sebastião’s eyes, what was still a dream already carried the weight and hope of an entire forest. These images are from Instituto Terra’s very first year — when every seedling planted was a promise to the Atlantic Forest, to the Rio Doce, and to the future. A time when it took belief to see a forest where there was only dry pasture.

Today, that dream has taken root, multiplied, and become a collective mission. It has grown like a tree and is transforming both landscape and lives across the entire Rio Doce Basin. We want to go further: to turn Brazil’s most degraded region into its most biodiverse. This is the legacy we keep nurturing — with you, side by side. Because now is the time to sow the future.
