terrifying start to my solo Pacific crossing!! Up the mast alone at sea [ep 163]

There are times when I wish there was someone to help me on my sails.. these days were those. I wished so desperately I didn't have to hoist myself up the mast, that I could take a break from the rain and just dry off for an hour, and that I wouldn't have to get in the water to undo a line, alone. But these things are what make us stronger in the long run (that's what I tell myself?!). I wanted to give up and be rescued during these days, but the bad days always pass and the sun eventually comes out (:
