Let’s be real: Men are bullies in the way they sometimes treat their wives—not all, but for the most part they are like that because they’ve never learned how to lead with love like Jesus did. And sometimes wives struggle to see how strong, capable, and valuable they really are—not because they’re weak, but because no one’s reminded them of who God says they are.
Here’s the truth: The Bible does show that women are wise, hardworking, and gifted—not just at caring for home and family, but at business, leadership, and building God-honoring success (check out Proverbs 31!). Husbands aren’t called to boss their wives around—but to love them, protect them, and speak life over them. Wives aren’t meant to shrink back—they’re called to rise up in confidence, knowing God created them with purpose, talent, and strength.
So how do we change? Husbands: Start speaking life, not criticism or control. Praise your wife. Thank her. Believe in her. Proverbs 31:28 says, “Her husband has full confidence in her.” Wives: Step into who God made you to be—not perfect, but powerful in Him. Use your gifts. Lead with love. Trust that God put greatness in you.
