London police explain use of Pain Grip on Just Stop Oil protester

London Police officer explains the use of the Pain Grip, or pain compliance, on a Just Stop Oil protester whilst the climate activists slow march on Waterloo Bridge in central London.

Around 55 protesters, who had travelled from South Wales and the North and South West of England, walked in the road on Wednesday as part of an ongoing JSO autumn campaign against fossil fuel licences.

The police officer told 'You have a duty of care' by a member of Just Stop Oil as they are trying to move an eco-protester into a police van.

The Officer replied: 'So pain compliance is short, very short medium pain.'
