Everything I've heard from "Hopes and Fears" has been fantastic. Their formula just worked. Like their other singles from this record, there's so much emotional depth here. It makes me think about life, loss, and death. I wouldn't be surprised if this song has been played at funerals. It's tragically beautiful with a hint of hope. Plus, the music video adds to the heaviness. Hearing Tom Chaplin's soaring voice just gives me chills.
