Back to the Future Trilogy Suite | from The Sound of Cinema

Today I'm celebrating reaching 100,000 followers with a very special surprise: The premiere of season 3 of The Sound of Cinema! And I'm choosing to do it with one of the most requested suites of the last couple of years: the Back to the Future Trilogy!

This is considered by many to be Alan Silvestri's crown jewel, and I can see why so many people love this score so much. It combines two of the things Alan Silvestri does best: adventure in big brass, and lush, sweeping music in strings and woodwinds. Although I usually prefer Silvestri in the latter mode, I find the Back to the Future Trilogy to have an instantly recognizable score that has, and probably will, stand the test of time.
