This was the first big ride of the year. We started in Braga at night and made our way to Santiago de Compostela, passing through Gerês and Ourense along the way. From there, we followed Via de la Plata, the historical variant of the Camiño de Santiago that runs from Seville.
The route took us through several thermal villages, including Lobios and Ourense. Given how cold it was, I jokingly wished I could ride my bike over a bridge and jump into the boiling water.
All in all, it was a good challenge and a perfect way to gear up for the adventures ahead.
