To darken your hair towards brown, You may apply henna and indigo using the one-step process. Simply prepare your henna paste, and just before you are ready to dye your hair repair indigo paste, then combine the pastes together and apply to your hair for 3 to 5 hours. Different ratios of these henna and indigo can give dye hair in different shades of brown.
Medium Brown: 2 tablespoon henna+ 2 tablespoon Indigo
Dark Brown : 1 tablespoon henna+ 3 tablespoon Indigo
Brownish Red: 3 tablespoon henna+ 1 tablespoon Indigo
The end color result is dependent on your base color or starting haor color.
The one-step method won't allow precise control over end hair color whereas for better control over the end results Two-step method is always better than the one-step method. In case you are unable to get satisfactory results using the one-step method, you always choose to switch to two -Step method.
