In our second video, we lay out some fundamentals of systems that come out of our base understanding of how systems manage and outmaneuver constraints to seek opportunity and manage challenge to ultimately sustain viability. The first is that viable systems will become increasingly tangled across layers. The second is that they will have to manage tradespaces, making tradeoffs. The third is that their quest for robustness does not insulate them from brittleness, and likely contributes to it.
