Hello again,
Here is a basic rundown of my shop and the basics of getting a stone started and windowed. I'm working on a piece of Deer Creek Fire Agate that I collected over the years. I'm using basic Diamond cutoff wheels and a coarse Varenkor bit. Both were available on eBay. That's where I got the 3M respirator too, I sincerely hope you will wear a mask and eye protection at the very least!
I would like to stress a point, you don't need expensive brand name tools to get started. Those make it easier if you decide to continue doing this. My videos are a basic rundown of my process. If you don't see anything here you might be able to find it in my advanced one on one class.,. 😉
I'm sorry I don't have a good steady consistent supply of quality Deer Creek or Slaughter Mountain, I've been looking myself. I do have some excellent Mexican Fire Agates on a regular basis. I'll keep looking for a good source to share.
Thanks again everyone for your support!!
Please let me know if you have any questions.
