A hike starting at Saqqajja in Rabat heading across the town via St. Paul's Church towards Mtarfa, from where we descend to Wied il-Qlejgħa (Chadwick Lakes) and onward along a narrow footpath to the chapel tal-Madonna ta’ Itria, overlooking Binġemma Valley. We cross the Victoria Lines fortified bridge and proceed along the Dwejra Lines, on Dwejra Hill, enjoying views of the Mġarr plain and Gozo along the way. We leave the Victoria Lines on the descent to Falka Gap and proceed inland towards an area that used to be occupied by a villa in Roman times and an underlying cave that is thought by some to have been used to heat water for the baths. The entrance to the cave features an impressive hefty arch (ħnejja) built with large ashlar blocks. We continue onwards down and back up a Roman-era paved road and proceed around Dwejra Hill and back to the side overlooking Qlejgħa Valley. We cross the valley back to Chadwick Lakes on a path that cuts across Il-Qolla (hillock) and up the steep hill back to Mtarfa.
