This video explains main outcome of the SUNRISE project: the SUNRISE Safety Assurance Framework (SAF). The SUNRISE SAF is a framework for safety assurance of Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) systems, also known as automated- or autonomous vehicles (AVs).
The SUNRISE SAF paves the road towards Type Approval and certification of highly automated and connected vehicles. It is founded on relevant international standards and regulations and has been aligned with CCAM experts and twin initiatives worldwide. Its application has been successfully demonstrated by a Type Approval Authority, as well as a wide variety of Use Cases. And most importantly, target users like it.
