Join us as Adele provides understanding of OSHA’s revised Hazard Communication Standard (HCS), moving from the 3rd Revision of the Global Harmonization Standard (GHS) to the 7th Revision. While this will bring OSHA in greater sync with federal agencies including EPA and DOT, and with major international trading partners, the new rule will impose obligations on chemical manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, importers, warehouse facilities, and downstream employers. The new rule changes many substantive definitions, labeling requirements, handling of trade secret information, and classification of physical hazards. Most employees will require retraining! The rule takes effect July 19, 2024, although there will be phases in implementation. Learn how this rule will impact your business and require revisions to protect employee health and safety.
