A Glass and a View

Instead of using her underpainting color of cadmium red light, Jane uses a gold wash that adds a glow to the finished painting. She not only paints a still life, but also adds an outdoor scene in the background. No plain wall or flowing drapery in this painting.
In all her years of creating art with acrylics, Jane has backed away from painting strawberries. So this is the first time she paints them, and she decides to do this on camera for all of you to watch. You see her go from avoidance to hesitancy to accomplishing the painting of those strawberries--an experience that you can probably relate to.
Not all painting experiments work out, but you always learn something in the process. And as Jane often say, "Have fun, relax and be brave. Hey, it is just a painting."
