I wanted to show some of the experiments we are working on here at MBMM. I want to determine the best collector metal for recovering gold from black sand/sulfide concentrates when smelting. Using a basic flux and metallic iron we have been successful at eliminating the matte phase and ending up with two phases, slag and collector metal. The goal for this video series is to find out the best collector metals for gold and silver when smelting shaker table concentrates without roasting. Stay tuned for part 2
