Cherokee National Holiday began in 1953 as a commemoration of the original signing of the 1839 Cherokee Constitution. Since then, it’s grown into one of the largest annual festivals in Oklahoma, attracting over 100,000 visitors from around the world and reaching more than 1,750,000 people on social media!
This year, our theme is “Building our Nation, Strengthening our Sovereignty.” Together, we will honor Cherokee Nation as a sovereign nation and proclaim that Cherokees are a traditional people driving progress in a modern world and looking toward the future.
Executive Producer and Host of OsiyoTV Jennifer Loren will host this event, and our conversation will feature valuable insights from Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr., Deputy Principal Chief Bryan Warner, Cherokee National Holiday Director Crystal Walters, and Cherokee National Treasure Danny McCarter.
