My first attempt to sing in Chinese. Please be gentle and don’t take away too many social credit points for pronunciation mistakes.
No matter where you stand politically, you'll have to admit that this song is a banger!
I chose the picture for the thumbnail because I like how people of all skin colours are united under the red sun.

I do have my own opinions about Maoism and the current situation in China. I'm not partisan for any nation state. I have a mixed view, a lot of things are to be criticised, a lot of things are beautiful about China. And I always defend the right of self-determination of all peoples that have been victims of colonialism first, which includes China and other East Asian peoples of course. That's why I prefer to see neither anti-Chinese resentments nor uncritical cheering of anything that the Chinese government does in the comments (the only exception are obvious memes).

Unfortunately I have no idea who the artist is that made the popular version which you know from the memes. But it appeared on the 1992 disco album The Red Sun: Odes to Mao Zedong, Uninterrupted Songs in New Rhythm (红太阳-毛泽东颂歌新节奏联唱)
