Visiting a Pakistani school in Lyari, Karachi 🇵🇰

What a heart opener experience we had in Lyari in Karachi, Pakistan. Kiran Foundation really is heaven on earth for the children in the community. They have done a wonderful job with providing care, education, and wellness. We are so grateful to witness the positive impact Kiran foundation has in Lyari.

BEYOND THE SCHOOL (BTS) is one of Kiran Foundation’s most impactful evening programs which gives a safe, learning space to children aged 6-16, keeping them off the unforgiving streets of Lyari and keeping them engaged through various clubs at our campus in Lyari.

Spear-headed by Sabeen Naz, the BTS program has become the favourite of the children. Clubs like Football, gymnastic, cricket, boxing, pottery, fine arts, photography, astronomy and many more run from 3-7 all days of the week. Sabeen makes sure that BTS becomes the gateway to many volunteers who can give two hours in a week to teach any skill including skills like reading, writing, mental math too.
