Here is a easy recipe you can start with. This step by step instruction can help a beginer to make a successful lotion.
The three ingridients you will use are Lemon Balm Hydrosol, Jojoba Oil, and Emulsifying Wax.
To make 200ml of lotion, you need 150ml hydrosol, 50ml oil and 10gram e-wax.
Steps of making lotion:
1, Set up a water bath and heat it up to 70-80 oC;
2, Measure 50ml oil and 10 gram e-wax and then mix them togather in a container which can be put into water bath;
3, Measure 150ml of hydorsol in a large container;
4, Leave both containers in water bath;
5, When oil and hydrosol temperatures are the same with water bath;
6, Stir oil with a spoon well;
7, Set up hand mixer and let the stirrer in hydrosol;
8, Gradually add oil into hydrosol and keep stiring;
9, Keep stiring for 5 min before take the container out;
10, Cool in air to less than 40C;
11, Gradually add preservatives into lotion and keep stiring;
12, Add 10 drops of essential oil into lotion and stir.
Now your lotion is DONE!
