“Forgotten to Fabulous: A Sponge Painting Makeover ~Acrylic Painting Tutorial

In this video, I take an old painting that no longer spoke to me and breathe new life into it using nothing more than a kitchen sponge and a brush. By layering colours with the sponge, I was able to create dreamy and blurred transitions that gave the piece an ethereal, almost otherworldly quality. The sponge allowed for a sense of spontaneity and softness, while the brush added control and definition where needed. The result is a transformed canvas that feels light, atmospheric, and full of emotion—proof that sometimes, the simplest tools can lead to the most magical results.
