The Colocasia Pharaoh's Mask is a unique and strange looking elephant ear plant. It grows deep dark purple veins as it matures. This is the second year it's been growing in my California tropical garden and is the first season that it has grown the deep dark purple veins. The plant grew many leaves during the spring and summer, it was put in the greenhouse for the winter to protect it from the cold weather. It is one of my favorite plants because it is so different from all the other Colocasias in my garden.
